Ouch, my kid tore my roof liner (83 240D)
 

My daughter tore my roof liner with her clumsy behaviour and while moving some lamps... Needless to say, your kid is worth more than your car, which is why I didnt say anything..until I closed the door to the Garage..

F__! D___! S___ How do I fix this rip, or should I try to replace it. I love this car even more than my 300D because of its simplicity...I have put two engines in it...

Can't fix it...must be replaced...sorry. :(

Headliner kits are available for your car, and car upholstery shops can do the job nicely.

There are upholstery shops that can *patch* repair it. Some are more successful than others. The problem of course is the headliner is stretched and under tension.

I would suggest going by and see what they say. If they say they can do it and it will last a while AND it looks OK, why not?
