Sunroof sealing question...
I noticed yesterday that when sliding the sunroof the back kind of sticks to the 'felt' liner around the opening and then pops down and starts sliding back. Can I lube that gasket or would it comprimise the water integrity of the seal? I think this is what caused a bunch of broken brackets in the roof mechanism last summer that cost $1200 to fix.

I have a similiar probem. I was thinking of using a light silicon paste across the back edge.

I am assuming that their are channels for water to run back and out the tailgate if water should get past those seals. I really believe that the roof catching there caused the brackets to break. There is a loud pop when opening sometimes. I'll try the silicon too.

I know on the sedans the drains are in the front. Wagons .... good question. I will try the silicone lube and let you know how it goes. Haasman |
