Smaller M103 Oil filter update

As promised, I would post my impressions of the new Purflux oil filter for the 300E. With the new oil filter, it pressurizes almost instanteously very quickly whether it is cold or hot compared to the delayed times of the older oil filters. THe only drawbacks I can think of, is the $17 price and it is a bit difficult to screw on by hand compared to the previous filters. I wonder when fastlane will bring this part so I won't have to pay extra for a hologram. Also, the oil pressure never dipped below 2 after a spirited 2 hr. drive.

The oil filter has nothing to do with oil pressure!
Purflux isn't a quality that MB normally uses. Stay with Mann, Hengst, or Kencht-Mahle QUALITY!

M.B. Doc, the batch of filters I just got from FastLane are Bosch. Are they as good as the others?

To those new to this discussion, here again is an image of the internals of both of these filters:

Bosch doesn't make their air OR oil filters! They are low-priced aftermarket. Stick with OE quality! Low price isn't the best idea when buying oil OR oil filters!
