Blue Label Coils

Are the blue label coils the original ones? How do I check them?

Do you think I should change the wires and the supressor caps?

Thanks for your help.
Eddie

Blue label coils on a 104 are just junk. Pretty easy to spot, remove the cover and if the part number labels are blue, toss 'em. MB had a SI on these at on point. I've never had anything but trouble out of 'em. The lastest version is square bodied flat recessed top. Seem to be pretty dependable from what I've seen. Just replace the resistor tips at the same time.

Here is all I could find in WIS (took a few hours of blundering around to find)

af15.10-p-6700dv for the misfire.

af27.35-p-6100a is the 2-3 flare with the spring kits part number

af27.60-u-6104c is the reverse delay/slam shift valvebody mod. for the .3 and .5 behind a 104.

The specific refernce to the blue ladel coils wasn't a SI but a tech tip combined with the SI.
