450 thermostat

My local auto parts shop lists thermostats for 450 sel's with a 6.8 engine. Will this thermostat fit in a 450 engine? Is there any difference between the thermostats in say a 450 sl or slc or sel? Aside from the dealer is there anyone that offers a thermostat at a reasonable price? Most new cars run 192 or 195 deg. thermostats. At what temp should a 450 engine run? Mine seems to run around 160 but I am sure that the thermostatis sticking. If I am going to take the stat out I might as well replace it, but if 160 is a normal temp. I won't bother. Tks.
