Vacuum element diaphragm replacement
I've heard someone say that a guy named george murphy sold diaphragms so you could repair the vacuum elements in the A/C systems... anyone have a link to this guy or someone who sells the equivalent?
I looked on FastLane of course, since they're nice enough to provide this website, but unfortunately they dont sell the diaphragm, just the whole element Thx in advance Jason |

Moraine has a point.
However, I am just providing information on alternatives to the forum. If you want new ones, fastlane carries them and it is the place to get them.
Sure, removing the dash is a hell of a job and I do not want to do it again. That is why I tested and re-tested all the diaphragms to see if they held vacuum BEFORE I put them back in.;) The difference in price between the new vacuum elements and the just the rubber diaphragms is substantial, not just "a couple of extra dollars". It has been about three or four years since I changed mine. I guess I have a few more to go.:p Good luck in whatever you decide to do! |
