124 230te cam chain replacement
 

Help and advice needed, I am about to change the camchain tensioner ect. on my latest aquisition a 1986 230te with 118,000 miles and am looking for some pointers for what to change and what to look out for.

The noise the engine was making I thought the crank was about to come thru the sump! initially thought big ends shot, then I noticed as the revs dropped below 2,000 the oil pressure went back to 3bar and the engine noise dropped! so I suspect timing chain and associated bits are for changing......
