300E left me stranded
Help, my '87 300E has been starting just fine until tonight, away from home of course. I have all lights, radio etc... but the engine will not turn over, no sounds, no starter, nothing.
Any ideas, key cylinder, starter??? All fuses are good, tried neutral and back to park. Help, one car family is not a happy family! PDX Ballard |

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be corrosion on the battary. It wasn't really visable until I disconected the poles.

Jump start
Will it jump start? If so, you can narrow down the problem some.
Could be battery does not have enough juice to turn car over. Could be corrosion on battery terminal or starter connection. Could be bad starter. Previous post brings up good point, make sure it's in neutral, not sure but alarm system could cause problem too. Good luck, Joel |
