W124 Radiator Expansion Hose

Hi,

Has anyone replaced the small right-angled connector that is inserted into the radiator near the top hose? This is the connector which is used for the hose to the expansion tank.

Mine is leaking slightly, so I bought a new one, however from the looks of it, it is designed to be inserted, but not removed!

Anyone replaced one of these without trashing the radiator tank?

Regards,

Richard

Take off the upper hose (with the engine cold) and use a the box end of a 9mm wrench to compress the tabs. It will pop right up!
