230e - do I adjust the valves???
 
I just got an '83 230e. Does it need valve adjustments like my 300d? anything I should watch for? 225,000 miles by the way. thanks, Andy

An 83 230E with the M102 engine should not require valve adjustments. I'm 90% sure, anyway.

Was there a 230E in 78? I thought there was only the M115 230.

guess I will just study up on it a little bit, maybe go so far as to take off the valve cover. It is a euro model? (4 speed stick, crank windows, manual sunroof, independant heater controls...) , no owners manual, so I don't know what motor it is. thanks for the help. -Andy
