300/500E Interior

Would someone please tell me the differences between the 300E and the 500E interior? Just curious.

Hi Robert, the main difference is the the 500E had leather Recaro sport seats (beefier bolstering and different stiching) - very nice. Also the rear seat was more a two-bucket configuration with a center wood-grained console as between the front seats.

I'd check Dean's need2speed website - I'm sure there are pictures there.

Regards,
- Ryan

You'll find the same interior as standard in the 300CE coupe. The 2 plus 2 sport seating was also a factory option throughout the W124 range.

European models had much greater variety of options than was available in NA - I've seen pics of 500E interiors with cloth seat inserts and no center consoles.
