M16 motor malfunctioned in my 93' 300E (3.2L)
 

Hi Everbody,
I need technical advice with my 93' 300E. Last week, I experienced hesitation at about 45mph, then it idles weird, consistent fluctuation(revs up & down) and it won't start right away like it normally does. It will crank but won't turn over. So I took it to the Mercedes dealership and they said its the M16 motor or the air mass sensor that's part of the computer. They are still running diagnostic tests on the car. Initially the repair bill was at $1700.00 including labor and tax. So if any of you guys know anything about this, PLEASE I could use some assistance in saving some money. Thanks.
