kinda of topic but need advice about snow!
 

this is off topic but i live in new jersey , and have been stuck at home since the weekend, my driveway is all covered in snow and shovelling it will do no good because ill finish by summer time, any ideas on how to get out of the driveway it doesnt have to be completely clean all i need to do is get the jeep out. any ideas?

Describe with more detail. Does your driveway slope up to your street? Are there piles of snow from the snowplow? How deep?
Can you get any sort of a running start? Is the snow still dry or is it now wet?

snow is wet about 15" inches of snow i can get a little running start of maybe 10 ft. or so but, the driveway slopes down to the street the biggest problem is that by the street already there is about 3 ft, of snow from when they cleaned the streets, by the way thanks for the help guys

Yeah, I'm a big help. I actually did use my Jeep to unstick my MB (with a tow strap). Also a Volvo, a Honda, a 2wd pickup, and [strangely] a 4wd Explorer as well, so that method came to mind.

Crashing through that bank would probably eat your exhaust system, or worse. Perhaps you could use the Jeep to just pull or push the MB aside, then feed the Jeep's exhaust system to the snowbank instead.

Then again, you could move to my neighborhood.
I cleared the end of every driveway on my street and beyond, just to be neighborly, or so I thought... Then the gifts started pouring in... some cookies, a lasagna, a bottle of wine, a bottle of rum, and free use of a lift and hydraulic press for a couple of hours. Not a bad return!.

Tie it off with adequate rope wrapped twice around a tree. Let a trusted buddy (not your wife) brake it down the drive. You feed the rope out slowly. The brakes will keep the rope from taking too much tension. Just in case, make damn sure you don't get tangled up in the rope.

If you don't have a tree, tie it to the jeep on level ground with the wheels blocked so the jeep doesn't move.

Or is the driveway too steep?

i wana thank everyone for their help, i wasnt even trying to get the benz out that wouldve been impossible i barely got the jeep out, plus the benz is in the nice warm garage during this snow :), but i finally got the car out after about 6 hours of shovelling i got out, I feel great, thanks alot for all your help :)
