Hi guys,

I have a 94 S600 coupe and Friday my check engine light came one. The car still drives perfect I have not been able to tell that anything is wrong. Thankfully my car does have an X11/21s1 switch so today I pulled the DTCs off using the push button and led. I got 4 codes before they started to repeat. The codes I got where 6, 38, 41 and 49. Is there anyway to know which module the codes are coming from. Or can anyone tell me what these codes mean.

Also I would like to know how you can clear the ECU and the check engine light.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

for a 140.057 engine, 92 thru 95:

6 - Idle speed control faulty
38- Not used!
41- Left intake air temp sensor: open or short
49- Data exchange fault between left LH-SFI ignition control module

You can reset them by using the procedure on my page MENU#2 called "erasing DTC memory". Remember that you have to bring each code up and within 20 secs perform the reset procedure FOR EACH DTC.

If they come back, try swapping LH modules and see if the DTCs shift.

FYI, here's all of the codes:

1 No fault found
2 Right oxygen sensor faulty
3 Lambda control of right LH-SFI control module faulty
4 Air injection at right cylinder bank faulty
5 Exhaust gas recirculation of right LH-SFI control module faulty
6 Idle speed control faulty

8 Right engine coolant temperature sensor, circuit open or circuit short
9 Right intake air temperature sensor, circuit open or circuit short
