2nd. Radiator
Replaced oem radiator 13months ago because the small 1/4"overflow stud was leaking.I tried repairing it to no avail,so i replaced it with a new one.Now 13 months later it is leaking in the same place. The company i got it from is giving me a new one. When i bought the first one i did know about this site.I have recently read on this site that the upper hose neck was a problem but never this overflow stud. Is this a common problem and if so what can i do to prevent this from happing again?

I must be the only one with this problem.

It is a common problem but not on a new radiator. Most people have had the little tube break off or leak.

There is actually a lot on this topic, but I think it is how people are describing it: coolant overflow neck, overflow stud etc.
The best advice I could find is: Don't touch it any more than you have to. Also be aware of how the small clamp is attached. Don't position it in such a way that there is lifting on it by the clamp or the hose attached. Haasman |
