120/240 Volts outlet in M/B

Anyone any experience of supplying Mains (110/240v) in an M/B.

UK company has a 300 Watt inverter available for 29 Pounds.

Would be easy to fit in rear footwell.

Just wondered if there were any drawbacks.

Regards

Mike

I use 140 Watt inverter from Radio Shack to power up laptop. I have it plugged to the outlet wired directly to the battery. One time I forgot to unplug and it drained the battery in about a week. The inverter switch was off, but it still drains about 200 mA. Make sure to use switchable outlet or don't forget to unplug it.
