Need Fuel Sending Unit specs, please
1) Does anyone know what the correct torque is for retightening the fuel sending unit in a 1989 W126? (Prior posts don't specify.)
2) Also, what size socket is correct for performing this procedure? (Some posts say 46mm, others 47mm, still others 1 7/8"--which is almost 48mm.) Given the relatively lofty prices for large sockets, I want to be sure I pick-up the right one! Thanks to anyone able to drum-up these figures!:) |
One down, one to go...
Well, no one has taken up the challenge of responding to my two questions yet; however, I've found one of the answers on my own by actually measuring the device.
For the record--and for anyone who stumbles onto this thread in the future--the right socket for removing and/or replacing the fuel sending unit is 46mm or 1 13/16". Still hoping someone can provide me with proper torque specification though... |
