FuelMax - Fact or Fiction?

I was introduced to this US patented device called FuelMax. Simply clip it onto the fuel line (inlet), and it boasts a max fuel savings of up to 27%, satisfaction guaranteed.

I find it quite unbeliveable. Coming from the US, has anyone out there heard or used this product??

You are, of course, quite correct- it is "unbelieveable".

You want to make sure you get the FuelMax and turbo fan HiClone as a kit! After all, wouldn't you want the intake air spinning around when your recently magentized fuel meet?

For those unfamiliar with the "technology":

The FUELMAX and SUPERMAX are in fact Magnetic Frequency Resonators, that separate and align the molecules of the fuel passing between the two(2) magnetic parts, it is like atomisation at an atomic level.

I am TOTALLY SHOCKED!!!!!!

How could our cars possibly have been running for all these years with the fuel molecules misaligned????? This is Twilight Zone stuff.

Have a great day,

This thing actually works. And it work very well, It works as advertized.
I am in not way related to the company selling it nor to any of their employees.
I don't know their marketing agency and I receive no commission, or bonus of any kind for my very positive comments.
As this product is so effective, I installed four (4) in series on my car.
It saves 27% of fuel for each. And the saving is cumulative. My actual total saving is then 108% of my consumption. I now have to stop to my local service station to empty my tank on a regular basis.
Great gadget.

Had a 500 cubic in. '74 Cadillac for awhile about 15 yrs. ago - got 7 mpg city driving and I wasn't lead-footed.

I'd still own it if I would have had access to Jack's 4-in-a-series setup.

The Trial Begins

Must admit that I was quite tickled by Jack's comment.

ANYWAY, I conveyed the message of a polite decline this morning, and I was offered a great deal I just couldn't resist.

In my daily drive, the W126, I have now TWO (2) of the devices installed, and I need not have to pay until I am completely satisfied with the results. I also have their guarantee that nothing will happen to my engine.

So, I am going to start a journal at 118795 miles clocked in when fitted with FuelMax. Subsequent to that, I have also pumped a full tank and recorded all the details.

Since I am embarking on an independant study of this, I thought it better to make known here the pattern of fuel consumption.

Starting from this year's record:

3.1.2003
Odo. Reading 114441 miles
134 miles @ 24.318 litres
Average of 5.51 miles per litre

Simplified reading:

7.1.2003
114724
282 @ 58.724
4.8

11.1.2003
114973
249 @ 49.625
5.02

14.1.2003
115165
192 @ 41.351
4.64

18.1.2003
115478
313 @ 60.150
5.20

20.1.2003
115739
260 @ 51.881
5.01

23.1.2003
115968
229 @ 46.624
4.91

28.1.2003
116169
201 @ 43.618
4.61

30.1.2003
116405
235 @ 48.724
4.82

4.2.2003
116662
256 @ 52.838
4.84

8.2.2003
117010
347 @ 71.95
4.82

11.2.2003
117303
293 @ 60.150
4.87

13.2.2003
117560
256 @ 48.951
5.23

17.2.2003
117763
203 @ 41.359
4.91

19.2.2003
117968
204 @ 41.359
4.93

21.2.2003
118398
430 @ 78.197
5.5

5.3.2003
118802
152 @ 29.489
5.15

There would be a marginal error imputed in the computation of the average mileage depending on whether it is filled to the brim. For simplicity, I shall try to be as consistent from now on.

So - until the next fuel pump.

I forgot (didn't want to edit the last post for the sake of credibility) - they have a website where we can seek more info:

www.maxinstall.com

I have yet to check the site out but will do so later.

Hey - thanks for the link!

Anyway, as stated earlier, I will continue running the test since its agreed I don't have to pay for it.

I am hoping to conclude the test in a month's time ...

When you're done with the tests, let me know, I have some magic beans, a certain NY Bridge and land on the Big Island of Hawaii that I'd like to talk to you about . . .

Go ahead with your test as is it free. But whatever results you get ( + or -), don't tie them to this gizmo. An on-the-road fuel consumption test is at best inacurate as it is subject to so many variables: (weater, wind forces, wind direction, temperature, traffic, load, tire pressure, type of gasoline used, idle time, state of tune of the car, different driving attitude based on the mood of the driver and mayby 10 others.
If you have noticed the installation instructions, you will see they highly recommend the use of injector cleaner over 2500Km before you see any results. The cleaner itself would have a positive effect on your fuel consumption if the injectors are dirty.
For better results, I would suggest the use of this gizmo, coupled with a front-bumper-mounted magnet facing the front of the car. The magnetic attraction created by the magnet toward the cars in front of yours has also been proven very effective. However, you loose the advantages gained when you back-up.

Not to mention that with the magnet, you will have to step a little harder on the brakes, since it will also be pulling you toward the stopped/braking vehicle infront of you.
