Wondering how to positively ID a 2.5-16?
I know 2.3-16 are chassis 201.034 with engine 102.983 What is the equivalent for 2.5-16?
What other easily identifiable features between 2.3 & 2.5?

The engine # for 2.5 is 102.990.

Are you then implying that 2.5-16 chassis # are 201.034? If so do you know the number ranges particular to the two models?
I am planning to look at 2.5-16 but have suspicions about it's authenticity.
TIA

190E 2.3-16 #201.034 engine 102.983
190E 2.5-16 #201.035 engine 102.990

this is about euro models, without EVO-types

above one of the freeze plugs is a large 2.5 in the casting. Many aftermarket strokers have been constructed. More easily the 2.3-16 has a single timing chain while the 2.5 has a double chain. Just pull the oil cap and take a peek
