smell of raw fuel on start-up -c200

ok this is what i have noticed on my c200 car

an intermittent smell of raw fuel once i start the car from cold in the mornings and the car is idling.

is this normal?

if not,what do i need to check out?:confused:

thanks for your quick and reassuring response.

the smell of fuel does indeed disappear within 30 seconds and i am now well informed of the logic behind it.

that is why i like this forum!!:D ::D
