84 500 SEL frequency valve question
 

I need some help with a project car I am working on. It is a 500SEL . It is an American car with a European engine. It has all the American Control units and now has the idle control valve for the American. My next project is the Frequency valve. I have the controler, valve, 2 fuel pressure dampers (I think that is what they are called. I know the output side of the valve goes to the return line to the tank. I know the pressure side of the valve is to be hooked to the lower chamber of the fuel dist. What I don't know is where I hook this pressure line on the fuel dist.
I have Alldata and Mitchell but both only give generic information about the fuel system. Mitchell shows the cold start valve connected to the lower chamber, but I am not sure this is correct. If it is correct, then my questions have been answered.
The car runs great, has the American exhaust (cat), but would like to have the mixture control for better mileage. Could someone please shed some light on this.
