Help! The drivers side seat belt (harness) is jammed in the up position. How do I repair this one. I think maybe the motor is burned out. Has anyone heard of this before. Can the Arm be recessed back into the rest position some how. I can not find a manual for this car Anywhere. Sorry its a 1984 euro model 500SEC.

If you are talking about the seat belt hand over arm, you have to take off the inside panels to access the control unit. You can test from there. The back seat is where you will be working.
