Hi,
While driving at night in the rain i used my
washer jets and fuse 13(8a) blew. I have tried 3 fuses since then but they blow as soon as i turn on the side lights. This fuse controls 2 license plate lights, drivers rear light, one headlight, dashboard lights, and what i think is the cause, the headlamp wipers(which only work if the lights are on anyway). Where are the relays for the car i can find no mention in the handbook??
Hope you can help
Mark Maguire

There was actually a recall on the headlight washer systems on the 129 for the US. You will have to take off the plug or have the defective unit replaced.

Thankyou for your reply.
Where is the plug so that i can disconnect
the headlight washer system?
Does the car have relays, if so where are they?
You mentioned a recall on the 129 but not the
107 which is my model.
Regards
Mark

Sorry, when someone says 500sl, I think of the 129 and not the euro 107. There is a plug inside the hood near the light. It will be square. There are a couple. You will just have to unplug and see until you get the right one.
