removing fuel injector
 

I am trying to replace the fuel injectors in my 1990 300E. I stripped the one in the back and now cannot get it out. There is not enough room for a tool to get to it. Can anyone give me any advice on how to get it out. Thanks.

What exactly did you strip? The fuel line fitting at the injector? If so, try vice grips.

I stripped the 5mm allen wrench style screw that holds the fuel injector #4. I have tried JB weld but can't get enough JB to make a strong bond. Also a bolt extractor does have enough space to tap and turn.

Can you try with needle nose vice grips?

How about a stud puller? The kind in which a cam grips the stud or in this case the round head of the bolt.

There is no space for any type of tool. The holder of the injector has a cover with an hole small enough for the screw head to fit. If the quick JB weld I just got does not work I will propably will have to drill and try a bolt extractor and pray that it works, otherwise I will have to leave that one old fuel injector in. Thanks for your sugestions

See if you can drill flats into the bolt head so you can fit a really big flathead screwdriver tip into the bolt. Hopefully your really big screwdriver doesn't have a round shank so you can grip it with vice grips for more leverage.

As a last resort, drill off the head of the bolt then deal with the remaining stud when the injector retainer is out of the way.

It's been a while since I had the injectors out so make sure this is possible before you start.

Can you get any penetrating fluid on the threads? If you can get some Knocker Loose or PB Blaster in there, it may require less torque on whatever solution you come up with to grip it.

The JBWeld stuff is good in certain applications, especially if left to harden (min 15 hours @room temp). Will take some impact but not a lot.
