How to bleed fuel injectors?

Since I got a problem in this area I tried to find a procedure to do this but came up empty.

I'm guessing here that onces the fuel onjector is pulled out, you can reconenct it and put it in a plastic bag, disconnect the spark plug wires and crank the engine to get fuel flowing, is that about right?

Can anyone recomment anything else?

Uh, I think it would be quite helpful here to know what year and model you are working on.

Have a great day,

The procedure you describe is highly risky. I suggest you build a test setup if you want to examine the spray pattern - and use a different test fluid than gasoline.

Raw gasoline is flammable, but not explosive. The vapors that would build up in the plastic bag would be.

I just read that someone did it, was wondering how but I don't think I'll be doing it.

What's the difference between letting the injector spray into a bag and letting an injector spray into a cylinder? There is no downstream pressure in either case.

INJECTORS DON'T need bleeding . . . they bleed themselves . . .

apparently someone did this to clean them up. I just use a bottole of fule injection cleaner.
