Dear Mr. LarryBible:

Putting any Bars leak product into your coolant system was a big mistake. I had terrible experiences with these coolant stop-leak
products because they might fix one place but destroys another one.

Eric

Take out the Stop Leak stuff!! I had it in my car recently(look at my post) It "solved the leaking, but my car ran hotter until one day it over heated!! the stop leak clogs the thermostat and other cooling system components, When you get the money, fix it ASAP. If not, sell it to a sucker.

Tell me exactly what the Bars Leak destroys, then tell that to a car and a truck I own(575,000 miles collectively).

I have found that H2O pumps last what seems like forever and leakage goes bye-bye.

I'm not suggesting this as a remedy for your primo Benz. All I'm saying is that in some cases the stuff does seal and does not damage the auto.

I haven't had to use it in my Benz, but when she gets to be a bit more geriatic, I will.

Over time, vehicles develop "hair pin" leaks that are not easily detected by pressurized analysis. Bars Leak does a superb job of sealing these kinds of leaks.

If there's a "snake oil" I believe in, it's Bars Leak and NO, I do not work for them or an affiliate.

Greg,

THe leaking part of the waterpump is the seal behind the pulley...You will need the flex tool from snap-on. The others have been tried by many and broken by many..Its worth the few extra bucks in time saved. Good Luck
