Need help axle boots
Hi-I have a 1985 300 TD. I trying to replace the rear axle boots. I have the axles removed. I cant figure out how to remove or disassemble one end of the shaft inner or outer. They have a metel can around them.

Hi Mike, hope these pics help. there from the Haynes book for a w202, but MB dont change things often. BTW do you get Haynes books in US?. We find them very helpful.

ON that car & most others before 1986 the boot couldn't be replaced w/out having some $$$ special tools to cut off the metal can & then re-crimp a new one!!
