Here in Georgia (my part of Georgia anyway) prices have been around 1.70 - 1.75 (this is for premium, I don't burn anything else). I can go to a little store in Conyers (east of Atlanta) and pay 1.65 and it comes out of the same truck that just delivered to the store across the street.
Here is a little info for everyone who don't know this, the guy running the station/store does NOT set the price on the pump the gas company does. If he/she doesn't make the changes they simply come out and lock the pumps and essentially are out of the gas business. I learned this from a good friend who owned a small store until he retired and sold it. We really don't have much room to complain as I remember back in 1980 - '81 when stationed in Germany gas went for DM1.17 a litre. Given the exchange rate at the time gas was going for about $2.50 a gallon back then while we were paying a mere .90 cents for the same thing. I understand that they now are paying about $5.00 a gallon.
