560sl convertible top..which one?
 

I need to purchase a new convertible top for my 560sl. The 75 degree weather here on Sunday reminded me that it is time. The stiching has started dry rotting so much the back window is now gone.

I know you can get them on ebay and some other websites. Does anyone have any suggestions OTHER than the dealership. I just can't afford the OEM.

There are several well-regarded online options. World Upholstery, at http://www.worlduph.com/mb7.htm has several fabric options as well as detailed instructions if you're willing to try doing it yourself (although their site also has some installers identified). A friend with a Pagoda has had things from GAHH Upholstery, at http://www.gahhinc.com/samplei.html and has been well satisfied. There are doubtless others, as well. Good luck!
