Does anyone know why the speedometer bounces from 0-30 mph when accelerating?

The speedo is cable driven and the cable is faulty. We sell them in the partsshop if needed.

Benzmac, How do I get to the cable so I can replace it?

The cable is bolted to Trans, goes thru floor under the carpet, cliped to underdash panel & is screwed to instrument cluster. If you have confidence in removing inst cluster then other tasks are simple.

Before replacing the cable try some cable lubricant such as Kable-Ease. A good percentage of the time this will solve the bouncy needle problem. If that doesn't work you'll then have to replace the cable.
