Question M104 valve-cover and head-gasket caveats

When replacing the M104 valve-cover gasket, does anyone have any caveats and/or hints & tips?

I was told to use a small-amount of high-tack gasket adhesive to help position the rear of the valve-cover gasket.
One tech told me a very light and thin coat of Wurth DP-300 (Hylomar) would keep any leaks from happenning.

I want to avoid any RTV clogging scenario, so any info would be most appreciated.

BTW: regarding the cylinder head-gasket, I assume use no sealants at all.

Thanks,
:-) neil

Neil, thanks for the pix you sent.

As far as the M104 valve cover gasket goes. I have done it like two or three x's & it had me perplexed. The fittment is a difficult one at best. I don't know of any secrets to doing so, but figured it would help to know that I share your pain.
