Problem info: When shifting the transmission into PARK, I always get a delay until the transmission actually "engages" into place. This is especially noticable when parking on an incline (I put the transmission into park, remove my foot from the brake, and the car rolls backward 4-8 inches before the transmission engages and "parks" the car firmly. Other than that, no problems, no slippage, smooth shifts, etc...
I've checked the AT fluid level, the only thing I haven't done is have the transmission fluid flushed. Any suggestions? thanks in advance...

Ooops, I forgot the important stuff. The car is a '94 C280 with 60k miles. And it is never driven hard (it's the wife's car...)

You are supposed to put on your emergency brake. Doing that will keep the car from rolling after park is engaged.

Mercedes trans are known for this. They say to use the park brake. The park paw that stops the tranny has only 4 windows in it that are 90% from each other which = a little roll.

I've gotten into the habit of keeping my foot on the brake pedal until the emergency brake is set. Park - Emergency Brake - let go the brake pedal. Although probably designed for this, I avoid putting any force on the transmission while the car is parked.
(Which reminds me to get the parking brake adjusted...)
