Please help identify this rubber hose.
Dear friends:
Oil leak seemed to damage a short rubber hose under my 1994 c220. Please take a look at the attached image and tell me its part name or even better its part number. Why does it connect the starter to some aluminum tube leading to the top? The black part on the upper left side of the "mystery" rubber hose is the starter. The white part on its right side is the engine oil pan. Thank you very much in advance for all your precious help. Best regards, Eric |

That is the air injection pump supply hose that goes to the diverter valve. MB part number should be 104-141-24-83.

Dear M.B.DOC:
I had thought that the black part on the left side of the rubber hose is a starter, but it is actually the air injection pump according to your post. Could you please re-confirm that it's not the starter but an air injection pump? Thank you very much. Eric |
