85300 SD brake booster

Well it looks like my brake booster is going.

My brakes are getting harder and harder. This has menat booster failure in all other cars I have had.

I checked the vacuum supply line and all vacuum lines in vicinity and all looks well.

Additionally, I hear no leaks, so I have determined it is the booster. Any thoughts?

I figure the master cylinder is ok since it doesn't leak any fluid.

Any special procedures to replacing the booster?

Thanks

How do you know it's not the vacuum pump? How much vacuum do you get at idle?

That's a good question.

I have no idea nor do I have the prper tools to check. I assumed it's the booster and not the pump because all other vacuum related items work fine.

It could also be a bad check valve in the line between the vacuum pump and the booster. That should be easy to check.
