1994 E320 Factory Alarm Question

I noticed when I purchased my car that the factory alarm LED that blinks when the alarm is activated was very dim. It worsened, and finally stopped blinking altogether. The alarm still works fine. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any idea how difficult it will be to replace the LED? Thanks in advance.
