Question 1986 300E Buzzing noise from relay box

Plaese advise if you know why a buzzing noise would be coming from the center relay in the relay box which is on the driver side behind the fuse box. The numbers on the black relay box are 201 821 00 47, 05 8983 00, J590e/945b and A 719043. I also lost all power to the instrument panel and all gauges stopped working, although the instrument light still work?
I open the relay thats buzzing and I can not see any circuit board damage. I have also my brake light have stopped working, I am not sure if it happend at the same time as the relay problem.
I live in Gardnerville, Nevada and we lack machnics who know how to work on Mercedes cars. Please HELP!

re electrical problems Buzzing noise from relay box

I just now have a very similar problem with my 92 300E I have no lights unless the switch is turned on, no brake lights, tack, gauges, rear interior light either. I am trying to follow 12 volts from the battery through the ignition switch to the fuse panel but haven't found the cause of the problem yet.

Please let me know what you find and I'll contact you if I solve it.

Thanks

Acky

SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM

Gilly helped me solve the same problem on my 92 300E

replace fuse #5 with a new 8 amp fuse.
