Need Help with Illuminated door sill wireing in my ML

I am installing Illuminated Door Sills in my '98 ML
Does anyone know the best place to tap in for power?
There are no puddle lights or floor lights to tap into.
Or does anyone know how to remove the overhead trip computer console? I can tap in there but I can't get it off.
