I think that's what its called, anyway. I had a friend of mine drive the 300SDL home the other day while I followed in the 300D. For some reason, from the rear, the front of the car looked like it was about 1 1/2 - 2 inches further left than the rear of the car. I could see all the way up the left side of the car and about 1/4 of the left front tire from the rear of the car. You can't see the right front tire from the rear of the car. The tires seem to be wearing normally and the car has never been wrecked. The steering wheel is off center to the right about 5 degrees but because tire wear is normal and there is no pull, I wasn't alarmed. Is the thrust angle of the car out of adjustment? Is the rear suspension alignment adjustable?

On the 126, the rear suspension isn't adjustable. The front is however. If it is dog walking, you may have some thing bent.

Try watching some other cars. I have noticed this phenomenon a number of times. If the alignment is OK, then it's probably an optical delusion. It seems most evident on 1986 Chevy Nova's. If you get yourself directly behind the centerline of the car in front of you, it goes away. Remember, when you think you car is directly behind the car in front of you, you're not. You are sitting to the left of center. Weird, but try it, you will notice that this does really happen.
