I'm trying to turn the red Leds on the aircon controls (EC, Defrost, and
Recirc) to Blue.. I can remove the entire control panel with the temp
controls etc , but I cant figure out how to remove the little switches in
the middle. Any ideas??

Thanks,

Bri

You don't need to remove them at all, just put in a blue bulb I think. The backlight is just the result of two bulbs illuminating a panel.

Dont want to change the backlighting, I quite like the eeriee glow.. ;-)

The little 'EC' lights etc have a red status indicator which I want to change.... hmmm, maybe I'll have to wait for the chassis manuals.

Thanks!

Hi Brian,
I don't think I've ever seen these red status indicator lights before. Do you know if your climate control unit is common to other E-class cars (I was 99.9% certain that it was...)?

Well.. its a similar setup to my mums 1994 C-Class, but without the 'REST' button..

Pretty sure its standard
