Water leaks at the right side of the front passengers foot well. After a good rain I find a puddle there with a trail from up under the right side. Before I go ripping into and under the dash area, ANy thoughts woud very much be appreciated.

Your drainpipe is blocked.
The best way to fix it is to remove the wipers and the plates underneath them.
Then clean everything and unplug/flush the drainpipes.
IF the water rises to high it enters the car.

There are drains that empty into the engine compartment throught he firewall. THose I checked sometime ago. After posting my question I found a post or two reagrding rust at the hinge point for the hood. Any thoughts out there on how to check that and repair? It's a pretty tight area.
