Loss of power at 2500 to 3000RPM's 88 560sl

I have changed the plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Car still loses power at 2500 rpm when you get down on the pedal. Have also installed new fuel pump recently and filter.
Problem baffles the real mechanics. I don't know where to turn next. ANY HELP OUT THERE??:(
