water leaks and pools 1973/450sl

I noticed after a heavy rain, water in the drivers floor. I dried it up to find more water running from the rear door edge down to the drivers footwell. I have searched the car under the convertible top lid and can't find the source of the water. Does anyone have any suggestions. thanks
