Oil filters for a 2000 M113 engine

I am wondering if anyone knows if there is really a difference between the Hengst A6002-105626 oil filter and the Mann A6002-104880 filter that supposedly works better in extended drains (this according to Fastlane's online ordering).

What is the difference between these two filters?

I bought a filter at the MB dealership to see what MB is using. It was the Mann. Thus, I'm sticking with the Mann.

i usually try and do what paul does.

recently i replaced a 10yr old power steering filter-the one i bought a large warehouse(not a dealer)-this was a mann brand,on closer inspection the one i removed was also a mann-but there were some differences in detail-do not know whether this represents a change in design over the 10 yrs or do mann filters from the dealer as oppposed to an outfit such as fastlane here in the uk represent a better quality but both being mann filters.

just a ithought

When I had my VW, there was always 2 choices for the oil filters purchased at the dealer.
One, the Hengst for " normal " drain intervals, and two, a Mann for "extended service " ( it said 15 000 miles right on the filter housing ).;)
