202 burnt / leaking side and interior rearview mirrors
 

202 chassis 230,left side mirror leaking fluid and smells burnt,interior mirror also smells and has a noticable line of fluid like a lcd display(when you push on it) mirrors have auto dark and heaters.possible fluid loss at side mirror shorted heater and damaged interior mirror......never seen by me in 24 years of mb techery.will try to add photos as forum continues....max.

Sounds like the "electro-chromatic glass" has failed and is leaking
it's magic fluid. I have seen a few of these and they are quite expensive to fix. The mirror usually gets a weird bronze/gold
darkish tint to it before the thing breaks and leaks.
