Mercedes sells 2 rebuild kits for the 722.xxx transmissions. One costs about 50% more than the other.
Mercedes parts people are unable to tell me the difference between the two other than that the more expensive kit includes more parts !!!! Does anyone on this group know the difference ? Does either include the valve body parts ? Regards Doug McCutchan |

In my 28 years I've never seen any OE factory overhaul kit for any mercedes auto trans. They do sell gasket kits. Any kit that includes clutches & bands is not OE. At any dealer you will find seperate parts for rebuild. Also there are at least 150 different versions of 722.___ trans.
Possibly in your country the Importer is packaging their "kit". You won't find the kit listed on EPC or microfische. ------------------ MERCEDES BENZ MASTER GUILD TECHNICIAN ASE MASTER TECHNICIAN 27 YEARS DEALER M.B.
