560sl Convertible top help, please.
 

Went to remove the hardtop on my 560sl for convertible season and when I popped the window latch, only one side of the flip up top holder will pop up to reveal the soft top. Gonna be a little hard to get the top up without that working.

I put an ear to the offending side and had my wife pop it and I could hear some movement but it didn't sound too solid. Is there a way to get a look under that cover with out prying it off? I've given it a couple of whacks with a fist and the palm of my hand but it doesn't budge.
