mike is right just pickup 2 of those 6 hole connectors and add 1 female recepticle for the 5th pin on the city lights splice into a key control hot wire and you've got everything you need. also if you go with aftermarket side lights clear get a amber color 1157a bulb and use the old socket and screw it into the new housing. you can even use your old wiper motor brackets if you have a way to cut 1 extra slot and open up 1 existing slot.

I think the part # posted (earlier in this thread) for the socket cover was incorrect ..... (I just got my Depo Euros from importvision):

I ordered these parts at the dealership yesterday:

qty (2) - 006 545 80 28 - six-pin electrical connector, socket - $2.40 each

qty (2) - 009 545 30 28 - six-pin electrical connector, cover - $3.00 each

qty (2) - 003 545 26 26 - pin, connector (female pin sockets for city lights) - $2.80 each

Other than on ebay, where Canadians seem to be the usual sellers, who sells euros for the 86-92 300e, & how much should they cost with & without bulbs & connectors?

i have searched high and low for a true 'yellow' h3 bulb. i guess they really don't exist.

i'm in the process of adding headlight wipers to my euros.while i have the lights out remove the h3 metal bulb holding unit and replace it with a u.s. one that has the 'prongs' to hold the 'yellow'glass cover. voila, yellow fogs once again.

i would try standard wattage bulbs first, if you 'need' to see at night better, buy a relay set up from daniel stern. it has the most heavy duty female h4 plug i have ever seen.

mbtjc & will rogers

originally your cars had euro lights. they were probably removed to pass 'epa', either kept or sold to someone [else].

I know....they were removed upon conversion for importation to the US. My dad said the first time he switched on the US lights after being used to the euros for almost 4 years he was utterly diappointed (and probably a bit pissed too). Good news is, though, the US lights are already out and sold and my euros are ready to go back in.

did you try the lightlens.com site. i got my 80/100 h4 and the 100w h3 for my fogs from them and they got everything. they even have an 1157 sidemarker and turn sig for 12.00$ each from japan.

you can also try jc whitney but be sure which lite you order some of the blue lites aren't very good.

good luck

i have bought two wattages in the bulb dan stern says is yellow. it is made by candlepower/narva, i have 55's & 85's and they are so so.
they are definetly NOT as yellow as the u.s.ones that have the baloon cover.

have you read everything at the stern sight on blue lighting?
there is a LOT of info.

if you really want 'that look' buy some of his narva or u.s. sylvania silverstars. i have the latter in my '02 explorer.

afmcorp

thanks for the input.
lightlens has some stuff that 'looks nice', you just never know for sure how some of that stuff will hold up.

have you been to the stern site and read his thoughts on 'asian' bulbs?

i'm going to swap bulb holders and i'll never have to worry about NOT finding real yellow again.

picture is of 9006 & 9005 sylvania silverstars. my clear [standard] turn signal bulb looks kind of amberish [in the pic]

I ordered all the stuff at the "not so local" MB dealer the other day. i foung out the hard way that those were the incorrect numbers. I have been to Daniel Stern's website and he advertises yellow H3's as well as 60/55w Xenon's. Does anyone know if these are the true Xenon's (blue appearance)? I have called him three days in a row now and left a few messages and haven't heard form him yet.............

Talked to Mr. Stern the other day. This dude seems to know his way around a light bulb. I ordered two of his yellow H3's. Now the next question. What is the difference between 9003 bulb and H4? If anyone is interested I am going to post a before and after picture of my car. Cannot wait until it is done.!!!!!!
