Question Lower oil pan removal on w140 S500

Hi everyone.

This is on 94 S500.

I bought a new oil level sender (the old one is leaking) and I didn't realize it was so complex to remove the whole oil pan (I already bought a gasket though), and decided to remove the lower pan only. I examined it and its pretty accessible and clear except for couple of bolts which are obscured by the frame. Is there a way to get to these somehow without removing the engine?

Thanks in advance!

Disconnect your lower engine mount bolts (13mm hex).
Use a screw jack if on hoist, or a floor jack and wood if on ground
to lift the motor up slightly. This should give you plenty of space
to get to the front bolts. Just loosen up your fan shroud so the fan does not break it when the motor comes up.
Good luck.
