Video/TV input on Navigation screen

I just bought a 2003 S430 4Matic, there is already a audio input (Auxilary input) in my glove box. Is there any one who can who can modify and add a Video Input (RCA type etc.) Please advise as to who can do it, prefer someone in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Or will consider someone reliable in the U.S. I am very serious in getting this added or modified. Please Email me your ideas or suggestions to (manji7600@rogers.com) Thank You.

Sorry, but only European COMAND units have the TV/VIDEO capability. That is what the blank mode button is for.
I looked into retrofitting the TV system and it would require
tearing the interior apart and installing around 12 additional
control units and antennea modules. Huge $ too because the
modules total a couple thousand bucks. Then the system only allows you to watch when the car is in park. Take the shifter out of park, and the TV goes to a warning screen.
It can be done if money is no object however.

Thank You Dr. Diesel

I will probably stick to an aftermarket DVD system with another screen on the visor/headresrs or flip down etc. the costs are much more reasonable, but it would have been great if it would work at a reasonable costs.

One alternative:
1) Sell your current North American Comand;
2) Contact Steve (MbenzNL) @ s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com and see if he has the Euro Comands avail and if his 2003 installation "tour" will be near you. He can install these things in well under an hour!
3) Have him install an RGB Multimedia converter that will bypass the monitor lockout on DVD playback ($300 on German E-Bay versus the TV Tuner (off the air reception).

Hello William Rogers

No not while driving, but we already have a portable DVD player with it's own screen we watch when parked or the passengers watch or my kids play games when we drive on long trips but the driver only drives. (relax I am not planning to get inot an accident, but I appreciate your concerns) There are already enough distactions icluding cell phones etc.
