Just a word of thanks
 

Well I have had my 91 560SEL for about a year now and am still loving it! Many thanks are due to a lot of good folks on this forum for guiding me during my consideration of buying this vehicle and work on it afterwards.

Haven't done a lot to it, I did have a problem with a roar in the front that ended up being a bearing. I had the bearing replaced, new brake pads, etc and serviced for a little over $300 bucks. Found out a mechanic I have known for years that had worked for VW had also been to all the Mercedes schools and training and is quite an expert on the 560 as he has owned one and worked on several. What a find!

Just wanted to say thanks again to all on here. I shall be monitoring and maybe I will be practiced enough to answer a question here and there about the 560SEL. Now looking for a 560SL as a companion car, what was the last year they were made?

1989 was the last year for the 560 SL -- '90 began the year of the 500 SL.
